Course Overview:

This is part of a four-day series of classes leading to an Administrative Professional Certificate, Level 1. By registering for all four classes, you will receive a discount off the total registration fee.

Course Objectives:

This one-day course is designed specifically for those with administrative responsibility to help increase cooperation and productivity. Topics covered include the bases of organizational power and how to effectively use each to accomplish challenging tasks and meet critical deadlines. Each person will take a personal leadership assessment inventory. Topics to be covered include:

  • Understanding the bases of power and influence.
  • Levels of professional independence.
  • Principles of “followership”.
  • The SELF Evaluation: working with internal and external customers.

Course Schedule:

Registration will begin at 8 a.m., and the class will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Lunch, along with morning and afternoon breaks, will be provided.

Cancellation Policy:

Cancellations are accepted, with full refund, if request is made at least 30 days prior to the course. Within 30 days, fees are as follows: 15-29 days, $100; 1-14 days or "no show," 100 percent of registration fee. When possible, please send a substitute instead of canceling. NWPPA does not charge a fee for substitutions.

Continuing Hours:

This course qualifies for 6 continuing hours. Certificates are issued upon full completion of the course.
